The free Groundwater Country Music Festival on Broadbeach is returning on October 28. Get Excited!
The three-day free beachside event, one of Australia’s fastest-growing music festivals, features top country music artists on several outdoor stages and at venues across Broadbeach. More than 40 acts are in the outstanding lineup, along with roving entertainment, markets, and other festivities.
Music Lineup
The Groundwater Country Music Festival presents local and international musicians, including Fanny Lumsden, Travis Collins, Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Catherine Britt, and many more.
Fanny Lumsden
Fanny Lumsden, who has won an Aria Award and eight Golden Guitar Awards, is thrilled to perform as the festival’s headlining act in October. She served on the “big stage” for the first time at the Groundwater CMF in 2017, making it one of her favourite festivals to perform at and attend.
Travis Collins
With his beautiful voice, natural sound, and exceptional talent for guiding nuanced, heartbreaking ballads and supercharged country-rock floor-fillers, Travis Collins has long been at the forefront of Australian country music. Don’t miss his performance!
Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley
Prepare to welcome Groundwater CMF’s Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley in 2022! Their most recent album, “Roll On Baby,” captures the middle ground between the pop-tinged country McClymont is known for and the gritty side of the country track that Eckersley has made his own over his career. They were already highly acclaimed before making their husband and wife duo debut.
Catherine Britt
Catherine Britt has already crammed a successful career into her first two decades as a recording artist, covering everything from pop country to bush ballads, acoustic folk-leaning tunes to mighty country rock and the polymorphic blend of America. Britt has won five Golden Guitar Awards, was named the CMA Global Artist of the Year in 2010 and garnered six nominations for the ARIA Award for Best Country Album.
Thousands of country fans will music travel to the Gold Coast to stay for the entire three-day festival. Over 70,000 people attended the three-day Groundwater event in 2019. The event offered attendees more than 130 hours of entertainment in beautiful settings across Broadbeach. The cherished festival received a final honour when it won first place in the Festivals & Events category of the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards.
