Sail Paradise
The Gold Coast’s summer regatta is a must-see exhibition of yachts and boats from all over the East Coast. Kickstarting 2020 on the Gold Coast, Bartercard Sail Paradise will have a program of entertainment both offshore and onshore, with host venue Southport Yacht Club set to deliver a number of yacht presentations, live music performances and more.
Throughout the four-day regatta, yachts will pass the beaches of the Gold Coast with daily performance racing and a fantastic atmosphere surrounding Southport Marina. For boating fanatics, Sail Paradise 2020 isn’t to be missed from January 2 to January 5.
Magic Millions Carnival
The excitement for Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival is already brewing, which will see the return of Magic Millions Polo plus all-new horse races at Aquis Park Gold Coast Turf Club. Held for over a week, Magic Millions Summer Carnival is the ultimate excuse to head to the Gold Coast with friends, set to culminate once again with the world-famous Magic Millions Raceday.
Gold Coast Magic Millions events include Magic Millions Polo at Doug Jennings Park, Gold Coast Yearling Sale and two consecutive weekends of racing at Gold Coast Turf Club. Just a stone’s throw from our Broadbeach apartments, don’t miss it from January 4 to January 14.
Queensland Tri-Series
Queensland Tri Series is back on the Gold Coast this summer for Round 5. After officially launching in Robina, this renowned triathlon series will return to Robina for one of its biggest annual spectators’ events, the Tri Open Water Swim.
For those following the seven-month-long triathlon series, which began in September, Round 5 will take place across one whole weekend, featuring 500, 1000 and 1500 metre distances in addition to Rackley Swimming Enticer and Kool Kids. If you’re eager to watch the action firsthand, make sure to be in Robina on January 11 and January 12.
Gold Coast Wedding Expo
The region’s largest expo for wedding-related exhibitors and couples both planning and seeking inspiration, Wedding Guide Gold Coast Expo is set to return with plenty to see and browse at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Broadbeach.

Movies Under the Stars
Presented by the City of the Gold Coast, Movies Under the Stars is a series of family-friendly movie showings in various outdoor locations on the Gold Coast. Free to attend with onsite food vans and kids’ entertainment, Movies Under the Stars guarantees a perfect night out this summer.
Just a few showings to put on your calendar include Toy Story 4 in Palm Beach Parklands on January 18, Ratatouille at Chinatown Southport on February 1, How to Train Your Dragon 2 at Woodlands Park Mudgeeraba on February 8 and The Lego Movie 2 at Ronnie Long Park in Tallebudgera on February 15.
YUMMY Deluxe
The must-see show for fans of cabaret, YUMMY DELUXE marks YUMMY’s first performance on the Gold Coast, featuring a stellar ensemble from Melbourne with nothing left out.
Coming to Home of the Arts for four back-to-back evening performances, don’t miss it to have your breath taken away by over an hour of cabaret, circus, music and dance, complete with dazzling costumes, lights and spectacular set design. One Love Festival
