Gold Coast Car Show 2019
Held each year at the Gold Coast Mudgeeraba Showgrounds, the Gold Coast Car Show rounds up the most impressive show cars in Queensland with an exciting program of displays, exhibitors, live entertainment and family amusements spread out over two whole days.
Packed with lots to see as well as entertainment for all ages, this weekend-long event presents the perfect excuse to head to the Gold Coast, where both days bring the huge Mudgeeraba Showgrounds to life with a sprawling display of rare vintage and classic cars, retro campers and caravans, drag cars and kustoms, trucks, bikes and more with an incredible atmosphere to top it all off.
There are hundreds of shiny and unique vehicles to marvel at at the Gold Coast Car Show, along with carnival rides for the kids, international food vendors and a lineup of live local bands, dance-offs and competitions with fun prizes to be won. It’s gearing up to be bigger than ever before this 2019 for its 10th annual event – see below for what’s to come over the two-day period!
Family Day – 50s-70s Retro Cars & Caravans
On the first day of the 2019 Gold Coast Show, make sure to arrive early as this year’s event will kick off with an unmissable entertainment program that will involve dance performances from Ashleigh Lee Dance School and Hy-Fidelity Dance along with live 50s rock and roll and rockabilly from Little Stevie and the Tail Fins.
In the afternoon, don’t miss an adrenaline-pumping monster truck display plus stunts from Showtime FMX – Australia’s leading freestyle motocross team. The Dance Off Competition will also take place over three rounds throughout the afternoon in between more live rock and roll and rockabilly from local Queensland three-piece The Jive Cats.
Trophy presentations will commence in the evening awarding Best Dressed Male and Female, the winners of the Dance Off Competition and the best retro cars and caravans of the day. The day will then wrap up with Showtime FMX, more monster truck action and an explosive fireworks display!
Gold Coast Car Show Main Event
The second day will welcome the main event of the 2019 Gold Coast Car Show, where all day throughout the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds there will be a stunning display of show cars, show bikes, show trucks, retro caravans, drag cars and more. If you’re fanatical about all things on wheels, this all-day spectacular is not to be missed!
From early morning, carnival rides will be available for kids and the young at heart, along with a spread of food vendors and trade stalls selling everything from retro car memorabilia to unique car parts and collectables. Enjoy morning Zumba, and in the afternoon don’t miss the Big Truck Rev-Up display along with multiple live performances from local Gold Coast rock and roll band Fat Albert Band.
