Join over 13,000 people in heading to the Gold Coast this November for the PAN PACIFIC MASTERS GAMES, the perfect way to get active this spring. The Pan Pacific Masters Games brings participants from more than 30 countries for its 10-day program of more than 40 sports, which enjoys the beautiful Gold Coast as its backdrop.
The Pan Pacific Masters Games has a colourful history that dates back to 1985. First held in Canada as the World Masters Games, it soon evolved into the Queensland Masters Games in 1995 held in Brisbane, before moving to the Gold Coast the following year. Now called the Pan Pacific Masters Games, this huge sporting event is held biennially on the Gold Coast each November, attracting thousands of enthusiastic athletes each year and has received a reputation as one of Australia’s premier multi-sport events.
Anyone is welcome to participate in the Pan Pacific Masters Games, with the only criterion being a minimum age for each sport. There’s a wide array of sports to compete in, including Archery, Athletics, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Diving, Enduro and Vinduro, Equestrian, Football, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Rowing, Judo, Lawn Bowls, Mountain Bike, Rugby, Sailing, Shooting, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Tenpin Bowling, and Volleyball. Venues will include the Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium, Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre, HOTA, Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mermaid Beach, Kurrawa Beach, and more.
The aim of the Pan Pacific Masters Games is to encourage people to take part and give their best, then enjoy a fantastic evening of live entertainment! There’ll be nightly entertainment after each event, including Killer Queen, The Koi Boys, Lisa Hunt, Magic Carpet Ride, Emma Lancaster, and more to be announced.
Make sure to be on the Gold Coast for the Pan Pacific Games this 2018 – the Opening Ceremony will be on November 3 where the games will continue every day until the Closing Ceremony on November 10.
