Celebrate screen culture at the Gold Coast Film Festival and see cinema screenings of independent films shot in Queensland, Asia Pacific Screen Award-winning films, international and Australian pre-release films as well as a screen culture program specially designed to celebrate the creative industry of Japan.
The Gold Coast Film Festival is set to run for eleven days.
The event will also host filmmaking workshops for free as well as an outdoor screening program geared towards movies for kids as well as family films.
Take note that 75% of the film industry of Queensland is situated on the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast is considered an epicenter for Queensland film productions. The festival serves as an access point for residing and visiting audiences who want to see exciting and emerging talent.
The purpose of the festival is to provide audiences with an interactive, diverse and engaging program that is also designed to help Australian film making talent.
A welcome addition to the festival is Art @ GCFF where exhibitions and competitions among local artists are encouraged.
The Gold Coast Film Festival is supported by the Queensland State Government via Screen QLD and Tourism and Events QLD as well as the city of Gold Coast.
The event will take place from 3 April to 14 April, 2014 at Hooker Boulevard
