Visit the Queensland Korean War Memorial and see murals commemorating the men and women who participated in the Korean War.
Set in a picturesque environment, the memorial has 10 relief murals representing the army, air force and navy as well as the artillery/tanks, medics, nurses, Prisoners of War, veterans and those Missing in Action during the Korean War.
The Korean Wall includes commemorative murals of the following: Australian veterans of all services as represented by a central figurehead, the Busan War Grave, those Missing in Action, the Korean peoples’ freedom struggle, Prisoners of War, the Royal Australian Navy and Fleet Air Arm, the Royal Australian Air Force in action over Korea and the Royal Australian Regiment during winter and summer operations.
A dedication plaque sits in front of the main memorial wall. At the left and right flanks of the wall are more plaques in Korean and English languages explaining how the Australian forces were involved in the Korean War.

“We were staying up the road when one morning we decided to have a stroll around the park as we had seen it when driving by. We could see the stonework on entering but didn't know what it was until we got up to it. I found the whole thing amazing as it was jointly funded by the Republic of Korea and the Australian Federal & Queensland State Government & Australian War Veterans & Gold Coast Council.
It is one of the best if not the best modern memorials I've seen!! The pictures you see only give you a flavour of it, the setting is beautiful, very moving tribute to brave lads.”

“A place a bit unusual, I think it's one of the few places in the Gold Coast where there are no tourists.
This Memorial is completely immersed in a beautiful park, manicured gardens and trees, with all the services available even the BBQ.
Between Surfers Paradise and Broadbech, in my opinion this is a place a little 'overlooked, really beautiful, walking through this spot there the two monuments to the fallen of the war between Australia and Korea.
In addition to this I feel compelled to mention that a few tens of meters away there is a colony of "Flying Fox" (as they call them here), or the giant fox bats are harmless, but there are, and during daylight hours perched on the tops of tall trees, a bit scary but worth to get there.”
